Fifty Shades Book Locations

As we all know, Fifty Shades of Grey is based in Seattle, Washington. We visited Seattle this year as well as Portland, Oregon and took photos at many of the book locations. These are all our photos so please do not share without giving credit (it took a lot of time and effort to get these photos so please be respectful). A special thank you to 50ShadesGirlPortland for helping us along the way.

Seattle Book Locations:

1.  Escala: Christian Grey's Apartment Building

Escala is one of the most expensive apartment buildings in Seattle. Although visitors are not allowed inside, the name is in gold letters outside, a fan favorite for pictures!

We just happened to capture a helicopter flying over Escala and though you guys would appreciate the photo :)

2. The Columbia Center: Restaurant in Seattle

The Columbia Center Tower is the "Mile High Club" in the Fifty Shades series. The Columbia Tower Club is located on the 75th floor of the tower, right over the observatory floor that is open to the public (with a fee). This is the place to go in Seattle for 360 degree views of the city, I highly suggest to visit this tower if you get the chance!
View from the observatory deck.

3. The Fairmont Hotel

When Ana and Christian are running from Leila after she broke into Escala, they arrive at the Fairmont Hotel late at night in down town Seattle. Christian and Ana escape to the Cascade Suite in Darker. Quote: "Christian pulls into the impressive, leafy driveway of the Fairmont Olympic Hotel and parks near the from to door, beside a quaint stone fountain..."

4. Ana and Kate's Apartment

Book location of Anastasia and Kate's apartment building. It is located a few blocks from Pike Place Market.

5. Zig Zag Cafe

Zig Zag Cafe is located in Pike Place Market and is mentioned in Fifty Shades Freed. Quote: "Can't we sneak a quick cocktail at the Zig Zag Cafe? I've booked us a table." (Kate asks Ana)

Portland Book Locations:

5. Public Domain Coffee

Public Domain Coffee is the book location of the Coffee Shop that Christian and Ana would of gone on as their first date after the photoshoot. Never specifically named in the book, this coffee shop is the only one that fits the description from Fifty Shades of Grey in Portland.

6. Voodoo Doughnuts

Voodoo Doughnuts is known for some of the best doughnuts in Portland, Oregon. It is also mentioned in Fifty Shades Freed when Ana visits her dad in the hospital, Voodoo is mentioned briefly in their conversation. There is normally a line out the door so go early!

7. The Heathman Hotel

The Heathman Hotel plays a major role in Fifty Shades of Grey as the spot where the photoshoot scene went down as well as where Christian stayed during his stay in Portland. We stayed there of course and got great photos of the inside!
